Privacy Policy
dataCon is committed to protect your privacy. Our Privacy Policy was developed to foster our company values of establishing a high level of trust, respect and integrity in dealing with our customers, employees, partners and community organizations. The use of personal information will be for purposes of administering our business activities, providing customer service and making available information on products and services to our customers and prospective customers.
The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices.
Information Gathering
This policy governs dataCon's online collection of information from you. Specifically, it outlines the types of information that dataCon gathers about you while you are visiting our website.
dataCon collects and stores information, personal or otherwise, that you voluntarily provide when subscribing to our Email Alert service, completing a RFQ, and sending e-mail as feedback to our Press Releases, to request information from our sales or customer support organizations or with respect to employment opportunities.
The dataCon web server does not automatically collect any information regarding your visit to our website. While many companies employ the use of "cookies" and "web beacons", the dataCon web server does not use these techniques for tracking or web customization purposes.
A "cookie" is a small text file sent by a Web server to a user's browser. The cookie is placed on your hard drive to track activities. Cookies may include information such as login or registration identification, user preferences, and online "shopping cart": information. The browser sends the saved information back to the Web server whenever the browser returns to the Web site. The Web server may use the cookie to customize the display it sends to the user, or it may keep track of the different pages within the site that the user accesses. Browsers may be configured to alert the user when a cookie is being sent, or to refuse to accept cookies. Some sites, however, cannot be accessed unless the browser accepts cookies.
A "web beacon", often used in conjunction with cookies, is a small, transparent graphical image, which is placed on a website or in an e-mail to monitor the behavior of a user visiting a website or sending an e-mail. When the web beacon retrieves an image, it can pass along information such as the IP address of the computer that retrieved the image, the time the web beacon was viewed and for how long, and the type of browser that retrieved the image.
Sharing Information with Third Parties
The use of personal information collected will be for purposes of administering dataCon business activities, which includes providing customer service and making available information on products and services to our customers and prospective customers. dataCon will not sell, rent or disclose your personal information to third parties, unless they are direct partners and the information is essential for conducting dataCon business activity.
Any information provided via a non-secure on-line mechanism is at risk of being seen by other parties. dataCon cannot be responsible for any unauthorized third party use of information that you disclose online.
The dataCon.com website includes links to other websites primarily for informational purposes. Once you access another website, dataCon can no longer be responsible for the accuracy of the information or the privacy policies implemented on that site. We recommend you carefully review the privacy polices of each site you visit.
Disseminating Information
dataCon has implemented an Email Alert Service to distribute current news releases and technology information relevant to consumers of contract manufacturing services. dataCon also respects the right of users to choose what information they desire to receive. Each mailing includes instructions on how to "opt-out" of receiving future mailings. These instructions are reiterated in the "Opt-Out" section below.
"Opt-Out"
dataCon provides users the opportunity to "opt-out" of receiving communications from us. If you wish to be removed from the Email Alert Service distribution list, simple reply to the e-mail and place the words "Leave EmailAlert" in the subject line.
Contacting Us
If you have any questions bout this privacy policy, or wish to review, change and/or modify information previously provided, you can contact us by sending an e-mail to Ann Desrochers.
